Long-Term care Nursing at its Core: “The Whys and Hows of Regulatory Compliance”

Summary of course: This session will dig down to the bottom of regulatory issues specific to the nursing department. The purpose will be to provide an understanding of ‘why” we do what we do, and “how” the pieces of the regulatory puzzle fit together. Nursing staff is encouraged to attend to review the interpretive guidance, critical element pathways, and survey probes address:

  • Significant Weight Loss/Gain
  • Skin and Incontinence
  • Quality of Care
  • Falls/Accidents
  • Infection Control

The training will include examples of compliance challenges faced by nursing facilities throughout Indiana, as well as respond to regulatory compliance questions posed by those in attendance.

Who Should Attend: New Directors of Nursing, Unit Managers, and Charge Nurses

CEU Info: This training is eligible for up to 5 CEUs

Registration Fee Info: Members of LAIN, INALA, IHPCO, and HOPE pay $99. Non-members pay $145. (SNF Samaritan Alliance Member rate is $50. AL Samaritan Alliance Member rate is $74) 

Minimum Enrollment Requirement: A minimum enrollment of 6 is required to hold this course. Determination that minimum enrollment is met will be made on 2/28/2020.
