These quarterly half-day trainings review the top health survey deficiencies as well as the top ten deficiency Scope and Severity Comparisons in the state. Time will also be spent diving deeper into the CMS final rules revising the nursing home requirements of participation. Your time is valuable, be assured it won’t be wasted.

At this first Quarterly Compliance of 2019, we will be joined by Amy Kelley, Program Supervisor of the Life Safety Code/Emergency Preparedness Survey Team and Chris Greeney, QIDP, MBA, Director of Strategic Resources at the Indiana State Department of Health for an overview of the Emergency Preparedness Program as well as an opportunity to have your specific questions answered.

After our conversation with ISDH, Becky Bartle will share updates from the Annual CMS Region V/Provider Meeting, including, but not limited to, discussions on Transfer/Discharge Documentation, Staffing Citations (when to cite and how to verify), and Resident Rights versus Resident Safety. Becky will also review:

  • 2018, both health inspections and Emergency Preparedness
  • IJs and Gs since last QCU
  • Planning Preparation for Phase 3 of the Rules of Participation
