Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Greencroft Communities to conduct an executive search for a President & Chief Executive Officer.
Headquartered in Goshen, Indiana, Greencroft Communities (Greencroft) is a not-for-profit faith-based provider of senior housing, services, and programs with communities throughout northern Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. With annual revenue of $115 million, it is a LeadingAge/Ziegler Top 50 organization, home to over 2,400 residents and employs a dedicated team of over 1,300 staff. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing executive leadership in carrying out the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the organization. The CEO will also be responsible for developing, analyzing, and implementing business strategies to ensure continued growth and financial success on all campuses. This executive leadership role requires exceptional business savvy and financial acumen, futuristic thinking, sound judgment, and a deep appreciation for the organization’s core values. This role collaborates in close partnership with the board and executive team and will be both entrepreneurial and innovative in developing strategy, resources, and services to ensure the organization’s long-term viability, advance organizational goals and objectives, and protect the reputation of Greencroft Communities and those served.
The successful candidate must have at least five years of experience in an executive/senior leadership position, preferably in a multi-site Continuing Care Retirement Community or Life Plan Community setting. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior executive within senior living/health and wellness who embraces Greencroft’s values of Creativity, Respect, Openness, Fairness, and Teamwork and is in alignment with Greencroft’s faith-based orientation. An understanding of Anabaptist culture, beliefs and values will undergird the CEO’s leadership practices. The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, although a Master’s degree in business is preferred.
