Course Description:

In the dynamic environment of SNFs/NFs, providing effective respiratory care demands meticulous and supportive documentation. This presentation is tailored to equip healthcare professionals with an understanding of regulatory requirements, enhanced communication skills, and practical approaches to creating supportive documentation that ensures the delivery of high-quality respiratory care for residents.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will gain insight into accurate and detailed documentation to monitor respiratory status and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

2. Participants will recognize the implications of incomplete or inaccurate documentation on facility compliance and resident well-being.

3. Participants will learn best practices for documenting medication administration, adherence, and respiratory treatments.

Course Content:

15 min - Explore the fundamental principles and key components of documenting respiratory care.

15 min - Understand how to accurately capture changes in respiratory status and respond effectively to fluctuations in residents requiring respiratory care.

15 min - Review the regulatory framework governing respiratory care documentation and discuss the implications of incomplete or inaccurate documentation on facility compliance and resident well-being.

15 min - Discuss best practices for documenting medication administration, adherence, and respiratory treatments, and the importance of capturing changes in medication regimens and communicating them effectively in the documentation

This is the ninth of 12 monthly webinar sessions.

Sessions are scheduled on the following Tuesdays each month from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. ET. You may register for each session individually by clicking on the date next to each session title.

NAB Approved Contact Hours & CEUs

Each session is eligible for one contact hour (NAB). Proactive Medical Review will award the contact hour for primary registrants who provide their NAB ID at the time of registration and attend the full session. 

Each session is eligible for one CEU for licensed Indiana administrators. LeadingAge Indiana will award the Indiana-specific CEU for each individual who signs the CEU Sign-In form returned to LAIN after a session. Signing the CEU Sign-in form attests that you have listened to the webinar in full.
